#1.Maxima 10WT Standard Hydraulic Fork Oil

For those who want the best fork oil, we have to give it to the Maxima 10WT Standard Hydraulic Fork Oil. This fork oil is made from advanced additives and the highest quality base oils. Overall, we think that it does a really good job in preventing foaming, oxidation, seal hardening, and stiction. Also, it provides very low sliding friction which really protects internal components from wear.

Additionally, there’s the temperature stable viscosity, which gives your front wheels plenty of terrain compliance and constant fork action. Finally, just keep in mind that it can be blended for intermediate viscosities. We would recommend it as a slightly heavier weight alternative to your stock oil.

#2.Bel-Ray High Performance Fork Oil

Next up, we have the Bel-Ray High Performance Fork Oil, which is the best fork oil for those who want to try something different from the Maxima brand mentioned above. In our opinion, the Bel-Ray does really good work in eliminating drag and striction. It also simultaneously greatly improves the fork action.

We also really like that it contains high-viscosity base oils, which greatly reduces fade. This helps provide a really smooth operation over a wide range of temperatures. Lastly, it is nice to know that this fork oil is formulated for use in all suspension forks such as those using dual chamber and cartridge systems.

#3.Ravenol Light Fork Shock Suspension Oil

Another great product that is the best fork oil in our opinion is the Ravenol Light Fork Shock Suspension Oil. It is really hard to objectively rank these fork oils based on performance. But we think this one is definitely in the top 5 as it just does a really good job of eliminating fork and shock drag and friction. Is it 10% better or 5% better/worse than the above brands? We don’t know.

What we can say is that it is more or less just as effective and any difference is really as rounding error. And we really like that it has an excellent all temperature viscosity performance. Finally, we think that it has excellent resistance to breakdown, deterioration, and foaming, which is always a nice bonus that some other brands lack.

Lucas is a well known brand in this industry and definitely makes a really solid fork oil. This stuff does a great job of preventing foaming and reducing thermal expansion. It also leads to more responsive handling and prevents seal hardening and static friction. Furthermore, we think that it does a good job in preventing oil thickening and oxidation.

Next, we just want to say that basically anything that Lucas puts out in the auto industry turns to gold and is something you can trust. They are a long established name. Without even trying it out, we can tell you it is going to be quality because Lucas is simply that kind of company that you can rely on.
