But since this is a quartz chess clock, it runs on two AA batteries which are not included. Also, it is pretty lightweight and very easy to carry around.
The unit is pretty simple with no fancy programmable buttons. We like that it has a very clear face with a sharp colored flag and second hand that are very much distinguishable. This clock is absolutely great for speed chess, as you can bang away at the stop buttons without worrying about breaking the unit.
