Best Undercoating Spray

#1. 3M Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating

When it comes to the best undercoating spray, we have to give it to the 3M Rubberized Undercoating. It simply has the best performance in the industry and really does a great job of producing a textured finish that is totally resistant to chipping, abrasion, rusting, and weathering. It also happens to be quite cheap and priced well compared to other products.

#1. 3M Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating

Considering all of the positive reviews, the brand name, and our personal experience, we consider the 3M Rubberized Undercoating to be the best undercoating spray in the industry. This stuff is pretty much the industry gold standard and does a phenomenal job of preventing damage from corrosion in your vehicles.

It also has a nice no-run formula, which makes applying it a breeze and makes it so easy that any amateur DIYer can handle this job. It also has nice sound-deadening properties to help reduce road noise. This stuff works well in all areas of your car from wheel wells, quarter panels, and interior fenders, to under the hood. And 3M is an international company and definitely a brand you can trust.

#2.Rust-Oleum Automotive Undercoating Spray

Next, we have the Rust-Oleum Automotive Undercoating which is a professional spray used to deaden sounds and road noise as well as provide excellent corrosion and moisture resistance to your car parts. This product is comparable to the 3M undercoating spray in terms of efficacy but we just found the application process a bit more intimidating and just generally harder.

With the Rust-Oleum spray, you have to take a bit more time to prep the surface before using it. Otherwise, it will flake off easily within months. But if you do everything right and follow the instructions properly, it will give your car parts long-lasting protection. Our one complaint is that the overall coverage per can is not that great.

#3.CRC 05347 Rubberized Spray Undercoating

If you want the best undercoating spray and have tried out Rust-Oleum or 3M products already, we think the CRC spray is another great choice. This undercoating spray gives you a very smooth finish with maximum coverage and protection. In fact, its standout feature is that it has better coverage than most other brands.

Next, it has great flexibility, although it does tend to go on quite thin and light. However, it still has great sound-deadening properties regardless of all of this. If you are specifically using it for automobiles, we think the CRC spray has a leg up on the rest of the competition.

#4.Permatex 80072 Undercoating Spray

The Permatex 80072 is a heavy-duty rubberized undercoating spray that seals, protects, and insulates your car parts as well as seals gutters, roofs, drain systems, etc. We think the standout feature of this product is that it goes on quite thick, which is actually rare as many of the other products we tried to go on light and thin.

Additionally, due to the rubber material and nature of this spray, it is quite flexible and has excellent sealing properties, and creates a long-lasting durable coating. Finally, we just want to say that it has a rock-solid tough finish, but it takes a few days to cure this solid state, which can be quite a long time for some people, so just a heads up.

#5.Tite-Seal TITESEAL by GUNK Undercoating Spray

Finally, we have the Tite-Seal Autobody Undercoating which is made by Gunk, a name brand that has been around the industry for a very long time and has a great reputation. This spray can is excellent at sealing out moisture and dirt from your car parts. Unfortunately, it does not work so great for other non-auto surfaces.

Also, we really like it because it decreases road noise and vibrations, but better than the rest of the competition. This is really where the TiteSeal stands out the most. Overall, we think it is a great product to try if you want an auto-specific undercoating spray that gives you a really good performance for the cost.
