Best Spray Lubricant

#1.WD40 Company Specialist Silicone Spray

When it comes to the best spray lubricant, the WD-40 Company Specialist Silicone Spray is certainly a nice option. This spray lubricant lubricates, waterproofs, and protects pretty much any surface. We like it because it is WD40, a name brand that is so popular, people just call it by its name now. It doesn’t get its name from anywhere. People really like WD40 because it is a solid performer.

It safely lubricates all metal and non-metal surfaces and has a quick-drying formula that doesn’t leave a messy residue. It is also safe to use on rubber, plastic, and vinyl. Finally, we just want to say that it has an ideal temperature range of -100 to 500 Fahrenheit. So we do not recommend it for freezing or extreme heat conditions.

#2.DuPont Teflon Silicone Lubricant

Next up, have the DuPont Teflon Silicone Lubricant, which is the best spray lubricant for those who want a clean, light-duty product that contains Teflon Fluoropolymer. So it goes without saying that the Teflon coating really makes this spray popular and it provides a really nice non-greasy and non-sticky coating.

We also find that Teflon is great on non-metals that can be damaged by traditional lubricants. This stuff also prevents rust, corrosion, and oxidation in metals and gets rid of squeaky doors. Furthermore, it doesn’t have much of an odor, which is definitely a step above other brands, which can be quite repelling. We think this is definitely a close second to WD40.

#3.Tri-Flow TF20006 Superior Lubricant

Another great option when it comes to the best spray lubricant is the Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant. While it is not as nice as the WD40 or Dupont, it certainly holds its own. In fact, the thing that sets the Tri-Flow apart from the rest of the pack is the fact that it uses high-grade petroleum oils which work great under crazy extreme temperatures and humidity.

Additionally, this is a bit of a cleaner as well as the solvents inside help soften dirt and debris and help to remove them as well when you wash it away with water. There are also some special additives that get rid of moisture and prevent rust and corrosion. All in all, we think you should get this if you are dealing with extremely hot or cold temperatures.

#4. 3M 08897 Silicone Lubricant

3M is another name brand that is a huge player in this industry and they make a really nice silicone lubricant. We like that it doesn’t stain because it contains no petroleum oils. And like most of the lubricant sprays that we mentioned above, this one also is a multi-purpose all-surface spray lubricant. You can use this to eliminate moving parts, get rid of squeaking, and prevent rust.

Also, please keep in mind that it comes in a dry and wet formula. Use the link below to read about the main differences between the dry and wet formulas to find out which one is good for you. And finally, we think that it does a fairly good job of being heat and cold-resistant. Although it is definitely not as good as the Tri-Flow, the 3M lubricant does a decent job.

#5.CRC 05074 Heavy Duty Silicone Lubricant

Lastly, we have the CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Lubricant, which makes our top 5 list because it is just a solid brand that has been around for a while. We will fully admit, there is nothing “special” about this spray lubricant that makes it absolutely stand out. It is just average all around and completely reliable.

We think it lubricates just as well as the WD40 and it does a fairly good job of not leaving a mess everywhere. Also, it is easy to spray on and target a specific spot. This is a multi-use silicone spray that is a must-try if you are just not feeling WD40, 3M or Dupont, or any of those top-name brands.
