This multi-purpose fiber is thick enough in our opinion, contrary to some negative reviews and is definitely fluffy enough for most projects. We like the fact that it can be used for something beyond quilting.
For example, you can use this product for cushioning or craft projects as well as being wrapped around the foam cushions in your sofa, for upholstery and seating projects around your home. Overall, we think the cushion and stiff are perfect for quilts as well as able to be used as a proper cushion. It is durable and washable.

Actually, the breakdown is 87.5% cotton and 12.5% polyester. The added polyester ensures that the batting has proper flexibility and superior durability.
