#1.KUMA Professional Damascus Steel Knife

For those who are in the market for the best damascus steel knives, we highly recommend the Kuma Professional brand. In our opinion, this is the best bang for the buck in terms of price to performance. This is a 8 inch knife that is made of 67 layers of premium Japanese Damascus Steel. So in other words, it is ultra strong and completely chip resistance, resulting in an incredibly long useful life.

What we really like about the Kuma is simply that it is sharp and stays sharp for longer periods of time compared to most knives in its price range. It is also pretty corrosion resistant. While there are certainly way more expensive knives out there that are incredibly sharp, we think the Kuma gets you 80% there at 80% off. So this is a great deal in our opinion.

#2.Daddy Chef Damascus Chef Knife

Next, we have the Daddy Chef Damascus Chef Knife, which is the best damascus steel knives for those who want quality as well as a knife that looks cool. We are not going to lie, a big part of what is appealing about this knife set is the fact that looks fresh and has an intricate design rose pattern on it that is liquid nitrogen tempered.

In terms of material, it is pretty great quality. This knife is an imported Japanese AUS-10 Super Steel with a 67-layer high carbon stainless steel blade that slices through everything easily. We also really like the handle as it gives you a strong and firm grip and excellent leverage. Overall, we put it on par with the Kuma, which has more sharpness but wrose durability.

#3.Zelite Infinity Damascus Knife

Another great option for the best damascus steel knives is the Zelite branded one. This thing is a beauty to look at and gives you absolutely ridiculous sharpness. But we think the feature that separates this knife from the competition is the fact that its handle is just far superior to most of the other damascus knives that we have tried in the past.

For some reason the handle feels really comfortable in your hands. And it goes for hands of all sizes and shapes as well. With the handle, you can get precise leverage and control. We know most people are concerned about the durability and sharpeness of the blade. While these metrics are pretty good and above average, the real hero is the quality of the handle.

#4.F FANTECK Damascus Chef Knife

The F Fanteck Damascus Chef Knife is a great little blade for those who want a quality damascus knife for cheap. While it is certainly designed for those on a budget, we think quality is not compromised too much. In terms of materials, this is a 67 layer Damascus steel blade at 60HRC, which really means that it is fairly corrosion resistant as well as having the ability to stay sharp for long periods of time.

We also like the handle a lot as it has a pretty ergonomic design and minimizes stress on your hands while using them for long periods of time. Sure this isn’t the best damascus blade out there by any stretch of the imagination but we view it more like quality entry level gear for hobbyists.

#5.Greater Goods Damascus Steel Chef Knife

The last item on our list is the Greater Goods Damascus Steel Chef Knife. It doesn’t have the fancy etching like some of the other knives that we recommended, but it certainly performs well. While this blade is definitely on the lower end of price for a damascus blade, we think it is still quality. The blade stays nice and sharp and has pretty good durability.

We put it on par with the F FANTECK in many aspects and in particular the overall quality. The blade is not bad, but don’t get too carried away. We recommend this blade to those who are either learning or need a back up blade to have around the kitchen. The handle is also nice but its nothing to write home about.
