#1.Celestron 93428 1.25-Inch 3x Barlow Lens

If you have a fast short focal-length telescope, the Celestron 93428 may be the best Barlow lens for you. This particular Barlow triples the magnification of any 1.25-inch eyepiece and does it better than most. We really like the fact that there is an apochromatic fully multi-coated optics which offers great color correction and contrast.

This Barlow lens is great for magnification during lunar or planetary observations under good seeing conditions. Also, we like that there’s a centralized rubber grip, keeping your hands securely on the barrel. Finally, we should note that this Barlow is threaded to accept 1.25-inch filters. This allows you to change eyepieces without removing and re-attaching the filter from each eyepiece barrel.

#3.Meade Instruments 1.25-Inch 2x Barlow Lens

We think the Meade Instruments 2x Barlow Lens is one of the best Barlow lenses on the market if you want a double mag lens that is cheap and very well constructed. The key to the success of the Meade Instruments Barlow Lens is that it has the performance of a standard Barlow Lens, but at a much less cost.

We like that this lens seems very well constructed for its price. It has a large clear lens and a barrel that fits tight into the focuser with no wobble. This Barlow lens fits most telescopes and has an all-metal and glass construction. Meade Instruments definitely does not take any shortcuts here.

#5.SVBONY Barlow Lens 5x 1.25″

Finally, we recommend the SVBONY Barlow Lens 5x, for those who want some serious magnification to their eyepieces at 5 x mag. According to the company, practical testing resulted in 4.8-5.2 times magnification of any standard 1.25′ inch eyepiece.

Although we were initially very skeptical of the quality of this Barlow lens due to the cheap price, we found that it was not as bad as we thought.
