This tool kit comes with 90 felting needles as well as a needle felting pen. These needles come in three different sizes: 3.58 inches, 3.39 inches, and 3.07 inches. They are nicely labeled in three containers which are nice for storing them.
Overall, these felting needles seem durable enough. While they are not as durable as the Desert Breeze and just don’t seem as flexible, we think most people won’t even notice. Besides, these felting needles are pretty good value for the money and a much better bargain than the Desert Breeze. Just keep in mind that they can break easily if used incorrectly.

The Z-Color Felting Needles Kit is another great bargain and the best felting needles if you just need something cheap and reliable that will get the job done. This needles kit is a no-thrills type of deal. There is no pretty packaging and no extras to make it a more complete kit. The trade-off is that it is going to be significantly cheaper than your all-inclusive kits.
All in all, the quality is not so bad and a lot better than we imagined. They are a clear step up from the basic kits you would get in a Hobby Lobby or any crafts store. And you get three different needle sizes in this pack. They are easy to use and seem well-coated. You can tackle most projects with these.

The Simzia Felting Needles Complete Kit is a great little complete with not just felting needles but also everything else you will possibly need. This is truly an all-in-one kit. In this kit, you get an 8-needle wooden handle tool, scissors, a glue stick, an awl, a foam mat, a leather finger cot, a foam mat, and a nice storage plastic box.
The needles are probably not the best quality and can actually break quite easily if you bend them or don’t use them right. They are definitely not Desert Breeze quality. However, we are of the opinion, that the quality doesn’t matter that much because you have to be a complete idiot to be breaking these things all the time.

#5.Bizzy Goods – 38 Gauge Felting Needles
Lastly, we have the Bizzy Goods 38 Gauge Felting Needles, which are some pretty heavy-duty felting needles and great for long-lasting durability. While these are a bit more pricey than say the Simzia, Z-Color, or the Dabhand, they certainly get the job done better and just have better overall performance and ease of use.
We put these needles on par with the Desert Breeze in terms of quality and durability. This is a bulk set of 50 and works great for bulk and sculpting work. It also comes in three different sizes. So if you are after quality and willing to pay for it, these felting needles are a great alternative to the Desert Breeze.
