#1.Lynx Thomas Flinn British 14” Tenon Saw

If you want the best tenon saw, we think you should definitely go with a Lync Thomas Flinn. It is the gold standard in the world of tenon saws and this brand is one of the oldest sawmakers in England. So first of all, it is nice to know that this tenon saw is made with the world-famous Sheffield allow spring steel material. It has a handle made from stained European Beech with brass button screws.

Next, the handle is very comfortable and extremely easy to use. It gives you just the right amount of leverage at most angles. Also, the saw plate is held straight and true by a thick and solid brass spine. So all in all, we consider this a very reasonably priced industrial pro quality tenon saw that will get the job done right every time.

#2.Crown 195 12-Inch Tenon Saw

The Crown 12 Inch Tenon Saw is certainly a great contender for the best tenon saw in our opinion. It has a gorgeous high-carbon steel blade that can be resharpened. We really like the grip and feel of the stained beech handle secured with screws. It just feels right in the hands and gives you full control of every attack.

Also, it is nice to know that it is made in Sheffield, England where the world’s greatest hand saws are made. It has 13 teeth per inch, in case you were wondering. Overall, this is absolutely a great saw with great quality. It has tons of great reviews online as well. It is also nice and heavy due to its brass backbone.

#3.Bahco 224 12-inch Tenon Saw

If you are looking for the best tenon saw but are also on a tight budget, the Bahco 12-inch saw is the way to go. Sure, some would not call this a true tenon saw. We call it the poor man’s tenon saw. So some of the drawbacks of this saw are that its blade is quite thick and the teeth are just not that fine-tuned. So it is not so great for finer tenon cuts.

However, it works just fine for general-purpose use, and with the right amount of fine-tuning and sharpening, you can actually turn it into a precise workhorse. Finally, we found no problems with the overall quality and durability. Although it is cheaper, it certainly doesn’t feel like a cheap flimsy toy.

#4.Spear & Jackson 5410Y Tenon Saw

The Spear & Jackson Tenon Saw is another budget-friendly alternative to the Bahco Tenon Saw. It has a fine finish and a nice sturdy and comfortable handle. In terms of cutting power, yeah sure it could be better out of the box, but you can always re-sharpen it and fine-tune it to your liking.

Additionally, it has a solid brass back which gives it maximum rigidity. The precision cross-ground teeth are quite durable and sharp for most projects, in our opinion. We wouldn’t go as far as to say that it is a professional tenon saw, but what we can say is that it certainly works very well for 80-90% of projects.

#5.WilFiks 16” Pro Hand Saw Multi-Purpose

While technically not a tenon-specific saw, the WilFiks 16-inch Pro Handsaw can certainly make tenon cuts with ease. This is a multi-purpose saw designed to cut through pretty much everything. First of all, it has a very ergonomic design and the way the handle is attached gives you a very nice cutting angle and leverage. The handle is also anti-slip and fits all hand sizes.

Next, we have a very durable construction with induction-hardened teeth that stay sharper longer than most standard teeth. It also produces quicker and more precise cuts. Is it perfect for Tenon? Probably not, but it gets the job done and is also great for other types of projects as well. So if you want one saw to rule them all, this is it.
