We think that it this glue has just the right amount of bond strength and flexibility. It is also incredibly easy to apply and definitely doesn’t run everywhere or make a mess.
The best part is that it dries permanently and is really easy to wash and clean off the excess. It definitely gets the glitter to stick and the bond strength is pretty high. It even has a bit of water resistance and we even tried to put it in the washing machine. While there’s definitely glitter that fell off, we say that a good majority held on well.

#2.Design Master Glue for Glitter Shoes
Next up, we have the Design Master Glue which is the best glue for glitter shoes if you have a nice invisible adhesive that is fast drying and acid-free. We think the best part about this glue is that it is an aerosol spray, so you can never really worry about making a mess everywhere or getting really runny glue that drips everywhere.
It also dries non-tacky and can even be used as a nice top coat sealer. However, we do think that bond strength suffers a bit as it is just not as strong as the Tulip glue mentioned above. If you don’t mind having a slightly “weaker” glitter glue but a significantly less messy application process, we highly urge you to try out the Design Master Glue.

#3.3M Super 77 Multipurpose Spray Adhesive
Another great option when it comes to the best glue for glitter shoes is the 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Spray Adhesive. 3M is a household brand that we all know and they definitely make some reliable products. This multipurpose spray adhesive is neck in neck in competition with the Design Master Glue mentioned above. We think that the 3M spray adhesive actually has a higher bond strength.
However, in terms of overall durability and how long the bond lasts as well as the glitter staying on in bad weather and moisture environments, the Design Masters is the winner. Nevertheless, both of these spray adhesives are pretty good and should do the job properly. At least they are both easy to apply and won’t leave a mess of glitter and glue everywhere.

The Tombow Aqua Liquid Glue For Glitter Shoes is a surprising choice but definitely a good one. It is not really designed for shoes or glitter, but it works perfectly for both. We like it because it is incredibly easy to apply and the bond strength is very much respectable. It is sort of like a glue stick but with a thick more liquid material that bonds better.
This glitter has a nice pen applicator tip that allows you to draw some nice fine lines on your shoes and spot-apply glitter. This is one thing that you can’t do with a spray adhesive like the ones mentioned above. Ok, we will admit, the bond strength just isn’t as nice as the Tulip brand mentioned above but it is definitely respectable. We say that it is on par with the spray adhesives.

#5.Loctite Ultra Gel Control Super Glue
Lastly, if you really want to get the job done with a crazy high bond strength, you have to use some sort of super glue. We really like the Loctite Ultra Gel because it at least gives you some flexibility. In terms of bond strength, it is by far the best bonding glue out of everything we mentioned. It is durable as well and will stick on even underwater and through plenty of rain or dirt.
So yes, you can take your glitter shoes hiking or on a nice run without worrying about glitter spewing around everywhere. The price you pay is that it will make your shoe kind of stiff. While it is not as bad as some super glues out there that really make your shoes stiff, the stiffness is definitely noticeable and a bit uncomfortable at times.
