#1.Peramtex Steel Weld Epoxy Glue

If you are interested in the best glue for aluminum, the Peramtex Steel Weld Epoxy Glue is definitely one of the better options out there. It settles in around 4 minutes and has a super strong tensile strength of around 4500 PSI, which is enough to replace welding. It can also be sanded, threaded, or drilled when fully cured and settles to a dark grey. For us, this is the best substitute for welding or brazing.

#1.Peramtex Steel Weld Epoxy Glue

When it comes to the best glue for aluminum, the Peramtex Steel Weld Epoxy Glue is definitely the way to go. This is a strong dark grey epoxy adhesive that substitutes for welding. Of course welding is much strong of a bond, but this epoxy glue will do just the right job. It is as strong of a bond as any glue will ever get and it sets in just 4 minutes without the need for clamping.

We also like the fact that it fills in the gap properly and will not shrink, which we can’t say about other brands. Also, when it is settled and cured, it can be drilled, sanded, and threaded. Overall, it holds up quite well and has a 4500 PSI tensile strength, for those who want to talk numbers. It does have an optimal temperature range of -60?F to 300?F.

#2.J-B Weld Glue For Aluminum 2 Part Epoxy

Another great option when it comes to the best glue for aluminum is the J-B Weld 2 Part Epoxy For Aluminum. It is an easy to use epoxy that works for most surfaces and especially good with metals and aluminum. The tensile strength 3860 PSI. While it is not as strong of a bond as the Peramtex mentioned above, the trade off is that it has a much wider operating temperature range and can take up to 550 F when cured.

On the other hand, the setting and cure times are a bit long, so this can get a bit annoying at times. It sets in 4 to 6 hours to a dark grey and has a full cure time of about 24 hours. We think that it can be a great alternative to torch welding and certainly a very nice competitor to the Peramtex, but you need to weigh the pros and cons.

#3.Gorilla 2 Part Epoxy Aluminum Glue

Next up, we have the Gorilla 2 Part Epoxy, which is the best aluminum glue for those who want a wildly popular name brand that is also good at gluing down just about anything. The main advantage of this glue over the others is that it dries clear instead of drying to a dark grey. This avoids any sort of color matching issues you might have with materials.

It also has a pretty quick set time of about 5 minutes which also gives you plenty of time to reposition and what not. Also it is not too messy and don’t get all over the place. While the bond strength is clearly not as strong as the above mentioned brands, we think there’s something to be said about convenience and looks. Also, its Gorilla Glue, which is world famous.

#4.Blue Magic Aluminum Reinforced Epoxy Glue

The Blue gic Aluminum Reinforced Epoxy Glue sounds like a pretty hardcore product that can make some pretty serious bonds with metals and aluminum. This is not far from the truth as it pretty much hardens like steel and you can ue it to make permanent reparis on everything from plastic, PVC, wood, metals, fiberglass, and ceramic.

We really like it and think that it stands out because it is fully waterproof meaning you can set this up underwater no problem. Also you can use it to fix leaky faucets and is drinking water safe. It has a temperature range of -90 to 500F which is a pretty nice range. Also, it sets in 5 minutes and fully cures in 5 hours.

#5.Hy-Poxy H-450 Alumbond

Finally, we have the Hy-Poxy H-450 Alumbond, which is a nice 2 part eopxy that contains pure aluminum particles and modified curing agents to give you that extra strength. This epoxy comes as a resin and hardener that you have to squeeze out of each tube and mix it up yourself. It is great for small repairs and works on pretty much any material including aluminum.

Overall we think that it bonds really well and gives you a nice aluminum grey color that does a really good job of resisting corrosion and rust even after you sand it. All in all, we think that this is a nice product to try out if you want to try something different from the above name brands. It works just as well in our opinion.
