This is an all-in-one tool kit that rolls up easily for storage and has a velcro binding to secure it. These tools are pretty much everything you will ever need to tackle pretty much any hoof care issue. We consider it pro-grade and industrial heavy duty, to the point where we think they’ll last a lifetime.

What sets this set apart from the others is just reliability and variety. We know there are many similar sets out there and many that are also cheaper. However, you are just not going to get this kind of quality and craftsmanship anywhere else. We know the entry price is a bit high, but we think it is worth it in the end.

#2.ProRider USA Farrier Kit

Next up, we have the ProRider USA Farrier Kit, which is the best Farrier tools kit if you want an alternative to the JackS Pro Grade Complete Farrier Tool Kit. While the quality is a tad below that of the JackS kit, it is also a bit cheaper and for all intents and purposes, you won’t even know. Our favorite tool is the multipurpose nipper with hammer and buffer ends. This nipper just works really well and operates quite smoothly for us. It even beats out some of the stand-alone nippers. In this kit, you get 10 tools total, which is just about everything you will ever need. If you don’t have that much to spend and still want a large variety of quality tools, this is it.

#3.Tough 1 Professional 7-Piece Farrier Kit

Another pretty good option when it comes to the best Farrier tools is the Tough 1 Pro 7 Piece Farrier Kit. While it doesn’t come with a full 10-piece kit like the previous mentions, we think it is good enough. In general, we just find that these tools are better made and have better quality than the ones above. The wood and trimings as well as general craftsmanship are just better.

The trade-off is though that it is more expensive per tool. If you are the kind of perfectionist who is just not satisfied with anything but the very very best, you probably need these tools. Everything from the grip to the balance and sharpness is all there. The difference is probably very subtle for most people, but there’s still a difference that some are willing to pay for.

The Aime Imports 8 Piece Complete Farrier Kit is aimed at those who want a complete Farrier kit and are also on a budget and can’t afford the previous brands. As the name implies, you get 8 pieces in this kit which should help you take on pretty much any trimming or Farrier work. We can’t say this is the best quality, but for the most part, they will do just fine.

However, the average person using this likely doesn’t really care as long as the tool gives you enough leverage to get the job done.

Last, on our list, we have the Zenport Q91 Hoof Trimming Shear Twin-Blade, which is great for those who just want a tool for trimming hoofs and don’t need a complete kit. We really like the fact that these are non-stick-coated blade shears. This feature really helps reduce jamming and cutting fatigue. In other words, these shears are just really easy to use.

We do have to warn you a bit though. These shears are incredibly sharp and stay sharp for a long time. They are a great addition to your horse tools. So please be very careful with them and do wear gloves and other protection while operating. When it comes to hoof-trimming shears, the Zenport is about as good as it gets. It is durable as heck and should last a lifetime.
