Best EGR Valve Cleaner

#1.Sea Foam SS14 EGR Cleaner

If you are interested in the best EGR valve cleaner, we highly recommend that you try out the Sea Foam SS14 EGR Cleaner. It does a really good job of getting rid of carbon deposits. Because there is not really a cleaner that is perfectly designed specifically for the EGR valve, we can go with general intake valve cleaners such as the Sea Foam spray.

We think that it is pretty oxygen sensor safe and does a great job of cleaning all of the pistons and intake valves. It also helps pass all of the emissions tests. Overall we are pretty impressed with the Sea Foam. It is easy to use and just seems to work better than most of the competitors.

#2.Chrysler EGR System Cleaner

Next up, we have the Chrysler EGR System Cleaner, which is the best EGR valve cleaner for those who want a heavy-duty professional brand that gives you a thorough clean. Yeah sure it is specifically designed for Chrysler EGR valves, but we think it works for pretty much any car after talking to some industry experts.

If you want something that is very powerful and cleans your entire intake system, this is the right product. It just takes longer and you have to wait for a good few hours for it to work its magic. So if you have tons of carbon buildup in your system and plenty of time, we suggest you do yourself a favor a do a thorough cleaning with this product.

#3.Liqui Moly Pro-Line Intake System Purge

Another really good EGR valve cleaner is the Liqui Moly Pro-Line Intake System Purge. It is a spray cleaner quite like the Sea Foam SS14 mentioned above. It comes with a long and short spray tube. First and foremost, Liqui Moly is definitely a brand that is worth paying for and is a quality German product. It has been around the industry for a while and plenty of people can vouch for it.

In terms of efficacy, we rate it around the same as the Sea Foam SS14 and it is clearly better than most of the other spray cleaners we have tried. And from what we hear, the quality control is pretty amazing and all you need to do is to spray through the vacuum port while the engine is running.

#4. Archoil Diesel Turbo Cleaner

The Archoil Diesel Turbo Cleaner is certainly a great product when you have a diesel engine and want some pretty amazing EGR valve cleanup. In general, we find that it is pretty good for restoring engine power, improving combustion, and reducing soot emissions. It also cleans and frees sticking vanes and clears up blocked turbochargers.

We think it works pretty well and word on the street is that most other people say that it works wonders for their diesel engines. It certainly works better than traditional EGR valve cleaners for diesel. Although it is a bit pricey, we think that it is well worth it if you have a diesel engine and want a complete thorough cleaning of the EGR valve.

#5. STP Ultra 5 in 1 fuel System Cleaner

Lastly, we have the STP Ultra EGR Cleaner, which is a nice fule system cleaner for those who want to remove carbon deposits and restore lost horsepower. Also, it reduces toxic gas and CO2 emissions and improves your fuel economy, which is always a plus. This stuff is pretty powerful and one can treat about 17 to 20 gallons.

It does a great job of decreasing rough idling and restoring lost acceleration. Although it is a little hard to apply, we think that it is well worth the trouble. And finally, for the price and quality, we think it is a pretty good deal and do not hesitate to recommend it to me.
