In case you weren’t quite sold on Hohner the first time around, we have here yet around blues harp by Hohner. This time it is a set of 5 for those who can’t make up their mind. All in all, we think that this is a great starter set if you want to collect them all and just can’t settle for anything of inferior quality. Each harmonica has 20 reeds and a wood comb.
With this harmonica set, you get the keys of C, G, A, D, and E, which are pretty many of the standard keys. It even comes in a grey carrying case that holds 7 harmonicas. The sound quality of these blues harps are a bit worse than that of the first Hohner we recommended. However, the difference is not anything wildly noticeable.

When it comes to the best blues harp, the Suzuki Harmonica Bluesmaster C is clearly a nice choice. They definitely don’t just call it the Bluesmaster for no good reason. This blues harp is incredibly easy to play and we consider this probably the standout feature of the brand. Also, it is made by Suzuki, which is a nice Japanese brand and an industry leader.
The cover is made of stainless steel and it is durable and ergonomically designed in a way that makes it easily handled. Also, it contains phosphor bronze reeds and ABS plastic comb, giving it a unique sound. Overall, the sound and tonal projection rival that of both the Hohner and the Fender harps mentioned above. At this point, we are splitting hairs and you just have to try it out to really appreciate it.

Lastly, we have the Long Beach Music Blues Harp, which is a very well-made blues harp for what it is – an off-brand budget-friendly blues harp. This is a no frill no thrills kind of place. If the Hohner and Fender are 5-star dinings, the Long Beach is basically your local dive hole in the wall. But sometimes, local dives are quite good.
In the case of Long Beach, we think this analog is pretty spot on. It offers pretty good quality and sound at a very reasonable price point. It is perfect for beginners who don’t want to splurge yet. We figured we can’t really just recommend the top brand names in this industry as it would be a sort of a cop-out review. We felt obligated to throw in a value budget option here.
