#1.EXPO Low Odor Whiteboard Markers

If you want the best whiteboard marker, it doesn’t get any better than the Expo low-odor set. We consider Expo pretty much the golden standard for dry-erase markers and what others try to copy. So first and foremost, this is a very low-odor ink, which means it will not stink up your classroom or office. Second, it is very consistent and skip-free, so it just glides on smoothly.

Also, on whiteboards, we like the fact that it does really make any screeching noises, which can get really annoying with some of the other brands. There is a nice chisel tip to make lines of various widths. In the end, these whiteboard markers are just very solidly made with a nice bold color that can be seen from far away and are easy to wipe off without leaving residue.

#2.U Brands Low Odor Magnetic Whiteboard Markers

When it comes to functionality, we think the U Brands Magnetic Markers are the best whiteboard markers you can get for your money. This set comes with 6 bold and unique colors that everyone will like. The standout feature of this set is definitely the contoured magnetic cap, which will hold on all magnetic surfaces. Also, the contouring prevents the marker from rolling.

Also, there is a whiteboard eraser built right into the cap so you don’t even have to worry about finding and buying a stand-alone eraser. This felt-erase is small, but it certainly gets the job done well. Lastly, this is a non-toxic and low-odor ink that works very well with most surfaces. The ink dries fast and the color is quite bold and visually pops out.

#3. Volcanic Dry Erase/ Whiteboard Markers

We think the Volcanoic dry-erase markers are definitely the best whiteboard marker if you are going to huge quantities and the best deal possible. It is also good for budget-minded people. This is a 12-pack with 12 different colors including some of the more odd bright colors.

What separates these whiteboard markers from the rest of the brands is the versatile chisel tip, which simply does a great job of creating both thick and thin lines. It just draws better than most markers. Overall, the quality is definitely not as good as Expo’s in terms of feel, the boldness of the color, the durability of the ink, or even the quality of the plastic. However, it writes well and that’s what counts.

#4.BIC Magic Marker Whiteboard Marker

Bic is one of those names that basically does not need any introduction. It is an internationally trusted brand that makes quality writing utensils and its whiteboard marker set is no exception to this. This 12 set of markers comes with pretty vibrant colors that are just a shade different from the standard colors of the rainbow. Also, we think they purposefully made the colors a bit different from Expo.

We have to warn your that the tip is not a chisel tip, so you can’t really get these nice thick lines. Instead, you get a precision bullet tip that makes it very easy to be very accurate when you draw or write. And one of the cool and unique features of these Bic markers is the fact that there’s a visible ink level to let you know when you will need to replace your markers.

#5.AmazonBasics Low-Odor Dry Erase Markers

If you want a straight pack of black dry-erase whiteboard markers, the AmazonBasics Low Odor markers are probably the right ones for you. As the name implies, they are quite low in odor and definitely won’t make it unbearable to write for long periods of time.

And the AmazonBasic brand is pretty decent. They don’t have the best quality stuff and these markers aren’t the best in quality, but they definitely get the job done just fine. Essentially, they are great value. Also, we think the standout feature is that they don’t just dry out if you accidentally leave them uncapped. You can do this for up to 2 days.
