#1. Impact Implements Disc Plow/Harrow

When it comes to the best disc harrow, we have to give it to the Impact Implements Disc Plow/Harrow. You can attach it to any vehicle with a CAT-0 hitch or use a garden or lawn tractor. Overall, we would say that this is a very solid disc harrow and all of the parts are pretty solid. Assembly is fairly straightforward and so easy that even beginners can do it in under an hour.

For the most part, you won’t need to add extra weight to this harrow but different people may have different requirements for their projects. In general, we find it light enough to move around ourselves. Performance-wise, it works great and is awesome for tight spots. Most people find it pretty heavy-duty and pretty affordable as well, given its quality.

#2. Brinly DD-55BH Tow Behind Disc Harrow

Next, we have the Brinly DD-55BH which is the best disc harrow for those who are on a budget. The only catch is that this thing requires a sleeve hitch, which is not included. Overall, we like this disc harrow because it is pretty flexible. It has steel discs that can be adjusted to three angles (15, 10, and 20 degrees) for general use and for more or less aggressive discing.

Also, we like the fact that there’s a steel weight tray that can hold additional weight like cement blocks which will help in applying a more downward force to break up the soil. Finally, just know that the working width is easily adjustable, from 29 to 39 inches, which is really good for working with gardens of different sizes.

#3. Groundhog ATV Disc Plow

Another superb choice when it comes to the best disc harrow is the Groundhog ATV Disc Plow. It is great because all it requires is for you to have an ATV for you to operate this thing. The Groundhog is really designed for plug and plow small farm chores such as weed control and fire defense. We think it really stands out because it doesn’t take much work and can be easily stored.

It is nice to keep one handy around your farm for easy quick and dirty jobs that don’t necessarily need a huge pull behind. There are also no ratchets to rust and tires don’t go flat. Overall, it is very well-built and is quite durable in the long run. Our only complaint is that it could use some larger discs as it still has a hard time turning soil. But just go into it with low expectations.

#4. Hoss Tools Disk Harrow Attachment

If you want to go even cheaper and hit rock bottom on price, then the Hoss Tools Disk Harrow Attachment could be the right answer for you. Just remember, this is designed for the Hoss and Planet Jr. Wheel Hoes. So it is really designed for self-pushing and not to be attached to my motor vehicle, but we can certainly see it working out with the right mods. But in general, this is good for shallow cultivation.

We think you should probably go into it with low expectations as it is definitely not a gadget that will make things significantly easier. It is good at what it does but it won’t make miracles. All in all, we really like the shape of the concave disks, which does a great job of cutting into soils to minimize weed germination.

#5. Agri-Fab Sleeve Hitch Disc Cultivator

We also recommend the Agri-Fab Sleeve Hitch Disc Cultivator for those who are serious about gardening cultivation and want to spend a little bit of money but not too much. This cultivator requires a sleeve hitch for operation and has a working width of 30 to 38 inches and a disc angle adjustment of 10 to 20 degrees to apply more or less pressure.

We like how the eight 11-inch discs are extremely durable and are powder coated to extend their shelf life. The coating stays on for a long time and doesn’t fade in color or protection. This disc cultivator also comes with a tandem hitch which gives you room to add another cultivator working in tandem if needed. This is a nice little bonus feature.
