#1.Terk Indoor AM Antenna Advantage
When it comes to the best am antenna, the Terk Indoor AM Antenna Advantage is the way to go. It is a premium indoor antenna with pin-dot pre-tuning. This allows you to precisely tune the antenna to your desired frequency. We like how there are no wires required for this antenna to work. It just needs to be right next to or on top of the radio.
Of course the channel reception will greatly depend on what is being broadcast in your area, your surroundings, how far you are away from the towers, and general signal strength. However, we think that it works pretty well in general with most radios and is really a substantial upgrade from the stock am antenna included in most radios.

#2.Kaito AN-100 Tunable Passive AM Antenna
Next, we have the Kaito AN-100 Tunable Passive AM Antenna, which is the best am antenna if you are looking for a unit with both a wired and unwired connection. This antenna is passive and doesn’t require batteries. You can connect the Kaito directly to your radio via its AM external antenna jack if it has one. This is also not required as you can just place the antenna next to your radio for ample signal to your radio.
It works by induction for the wireless usage. We have to say, the improved am reception is pretty good and it is right up there with the Terk Indoor when it comes to reception coverage. Lastly, we just want to mention that the design looks pretty cool and it seems pretty stable and durable for the most part. The build quality is a little flimsy, but it doesn’t detract from the performance.

#3.Fancasee AM Loop Antenna
Another good option when it comes to the best am antenna is the Fancasee Am Loop Antenna. It has 2 pin tin-plating bare wire for connecting to the AM antenna jack of radios. Overall, we think that it works pretty well for what it is and works just like advertised. However, the two am antennas that we mentioned beforehand tend to work a little better in terms of coverage.
When you do end up picking up a signal, the signal quality seems very good and it is definitely noticeably more clear and crisp. However, if you are going for greatly extended range, you are probably better off with the pervious two mentioned products.

#4.Tecsun AN-200 AM Antenna
For a more premium experience, the Tecsun AN-200 is a very nice AM antenna that works both passively without any wires or wired into your radio. Although the Tecsun is a little expensive, we think that in the grand scheme of things, it is well worth it. It has a light, thin, and frameless design and is good at both boosting range and signal.
We think that it definitely helps out the coverage range a bit more than actually boosting the am signal, but we guess this is kind of up for debate. Also, it greatly improves the signal strength and clarity when there is a lot of EM1 noise or strong shielding conditions. So try it out if any of this stuff applies to you or if you’re in the wilderness.

#5.Ancable Hi-Fi AM Loop Wire Antenna
Lastly, we have the Ancable Hi-Fi AM Loop Wire Antenna, which is a nice am loop antenna that is suitable for most av receivers on radios. If your audio receiver/radio doesn’t have an am antenna built in or the am antenna has terrible reception or terrible signal clarity, the Ancable loop antenna could be your best friend.
This thing is really cheap and gets the job done for the most part. It gives you way more coverage over many stock am antennas in radios and it can give you a signal in the middle of nowhere. Also, if you just so happen to be in a zone where the am signal to your favorite station is blocked, this am loop antenna could also potentially fix this issue.
