We have nothing but good things to say about the Yamaha 4C Sax Mouthpiece. It is very well-rounded and great for beginners, intermediates, to advanced players. Additionally, it is quite easy to get a clear, balanced, and focused tone in any octave in any range. It’s hard to say the same about other sax mouthpieces.

#2.Selmer S-80 C* Mouthpiece for Alto Saxophone
If you are willing to shell out top dollar for a mouthpiece, the Selmer S-80 may be the best saxophone mouthpiece for you. This is a concert-level mouthpiece designed for professionals, but beginners can use it as well. It usually helps eliminate squeaking for beginners.
The Selmer S-80 C probably has the best sound quality out of all the mouthpieces we tried. Also, it is quite possibly the easiest to play on. The only thing we are still trying to get over is the ridiculous price tag this thing commands. If you can get over this, then do not hesitate to get it.

#3.Vandoren SM711 AL3 Saxophone Mouthpiece
The Vandoren SM711 AL3 is the best saxophone mouthpiece if you want superior roundness that simply cannot be found on other mouthpieces. Compared to other models, it can be rather small. But don‘t worry, it is a very easy-playing mouthpiece designed for classical saxophone.
We like the amount of control you have with this mouthpiece and more specifically the control you have over both ends of the range, which is crucial. Although the price is quite high, we think it is worth it in terms of the quality you are getting. This is an overall winner when it comes to tone control and usability.

#4.Meyer MR-402-6MM Rubber Alto Sax Mouthpiece
The Meyer MR-402-6MM is an excellent rubber alto sax mouthpiece that prides itself on its clear response throughout the entire dynamic range. Our favorite feature is that it is very easy to blow, which makes it pretty good for beginners and professionals alike.
Additionally, this sax mouthpiece has a very rich and full-tone quality, which is great for more advanced players who care about the little details. Finally, just note that the Meyer Mouthpiece includes both a ligature and cap. But to warn you, the ligature is pretty low quality.

#5.J&D Hite H117 Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece
If you are looking for the best alto saxophone mouthpiece and are on a severe budget, we think the J&D Hite is the perfect mouthpiece for you. The J&D is made of hard rubber and is pretty good quality overall for the price you are paying for it.
We are not going to lie and say that this mouthpiece is top quality, but what we can say is that it works well for the most part and plays easily, which is more important for beginners. The quality, tones, and dynamic range are decent with the J&D, but clearly, there are better ones out there. This is simply the right one for you if price is your main concern.
