Best Pool Chalk

#1.Master Billiard/Pool Cue Chalk Box

The Master Billiard Chalk is the best pool chalk because it applies very easily, does not flake as easily as other chalk, and simply lasts longer. While other chalks apply unevenly, this one is the preferred brand by many pros because it is smooth and sticks on longer. It also comes in many colors including some pretty odd and funky colors to spice things up.

#1.Master Billiard/Pool Cue Chalk Box

When it comes to professional billiards, pool, and snooker chalk, the Master Billiard Cue Chalk is the best pool chalk in the industry. The standout feature of this pool chalk is that it applies extremely smoothly and does not flaky. Also, it has a very long shelf life.

We like how this chalk is designed to be applied evenly. With other chalks, you have to hit all of the right angles in order to get a smooth coating. Finally, once this chalk is applied it stays on longer than most and does not flake. This is a huge deal and is definitely what separates this from the rest of the pack.

#2.Felson Billiard Chalk

Felson Billiard Supplies makes the best pool chalk if you want to improve your accuracy. This chalk does a really good job of improving the friction between the cue and the ball. The application is pretty seamless and we rate it second compared to the Master Billiard series. It leaves a very even and smooth coating.

Also, this chalk does a good job of reducing shiny areas on the tip of the pool cue, so that you get accurate shots each time. Additionally, it comes with a nice portable storage box so you can bring it with you on the go.

#3.Silver Cup Billiard Chalk

The Silver Cup Billiard Chalk is certainly a great option when it comes to billiard chalk. It does a pretty good job in not flaking which is quite important for most players. This chalk is good for both home and professional use. It is made in the USA and comes in a variety of colors.

We like the color selection and the classic green is our favorite color, matching the felt of many tables. Some people say chalk is chalk, but after trying this one, you may think differently. Finally, this chalk does a pretty good job of not staining the felt on the table and rubs off easily.

#4.OB Billiard Chalk

The OB Billiard Chalk is probably one of the highest-quality chalks we have tried. The only letdown is that the price per chalk is quite high. Also, it’s only offered in blue, but it does blue very well. Although chalk is just chalk, it’s all about the details. We find this chalk to go on slightly more smoothly than the rest we tried.

The standout feature is that it really does the best job of not sticking to the cue ball. Masters and Silver Cup have a tendency to leave a heavy mark on the cue ball. Also, this chalk works best by swiping instead of just grinding away. It applies more evenly if you do it this way with this particular chalk.

#5.Blue Diamond Billiard Chalk

Finally, we recommend the Blue Diamond Billiard Chalk. This chalk is on our list because it has great moisture retention and it takes less work to apply than most. Blue Diamond gives some pretty solid performance, gives you a strong grip, and has a solid blue color.

Between Blue Diamond and OB Billiard Chalk, it is kind of a toss-up. We find that Blue Diamond takes less chalk to apply an even coating, thus saving chalk and money. However, OB Billiard’s chalk tends to stay on longer and does not stick to the cue ball. So pick your poison, but either way, you can’t go wrong.
