It is also a breathable sealer that causes water to bead up on concrete.

Furthermore, the MasonryDefender is a water-based penetrating concrete sealer that bonds with the minerals in concrete. From our experience and talking to others, it truly does form a long-lasting bond. It also does a great job of preventing cracking and pitting as well as giving you protection from de-icing salts. But in terms of overall protection, this product really stands out.

Next up, the ToughCrete Concrete Sealer is the best cement sealer for those who want siloxane concrete penetrating sealer that prevents spalling and degrading. It does a good job of penetrating deep into your concrete surface and protects it from overall degradation, salt and water damage, and well as humidity, UV damage, and extreme weather.

Between the ToughCrete and the MasonryDefender mentioned above, it is a hard choice as to which one does the better job in protecting and long-term durability. By talking with many users, we have concluded that the ToughCrete does better in the near term so 1-5 years and the MasonryDefender will do better in the long term 5-10+ year period.

We think the standout feature of this concrete sealer is that it really helps bring out the color in really dulled concrete. And if you properly apply it, it can last for quite a while before needing to re-apply.

This is a nice non-yellowing and UV-resistant cement sealer that is very breathable. The finish is not too glossy but certainly more so than the previous brands. While it is not as long-lasting as the previous brands and won’t protect as well, Foundation Armor is still pretty good overall. And it just does a better job of making your cement look better.

The Aqua-X Cement Sealer is yet another nice cement sealer that has a clear finish and gives your cement concrete surfaces a nice natural look. We think that this product stands out above the competition in that it has a nice moisture barrier that really does a great job of preventing mold and mildew from forming.

Also, it is nice to know that this sealer has no foul odor and has low VOCs, which means that you don’t have to wear a mask while applying it. It goes without saying that the durability and protection are there and we put it on the same level as the Foundation Armor mentioned above. Also, it rinses off easily.

Lastly, we have a bit of a different product, which is the Cheng Cement Countertop Sealer. This is designed for cement/concrete countertops and small surfaces. While it is not designed for concrete driveways, you can certainly try to use it for this. The only problem is you will have to buy a lot of it to cover such a large area.

The beauty of this product is that it is easy to apply in small quantities and does a great job protecting your cement surfaces from food and drink spills and is food safe. In other words, it is specifically designed to handle bacteria, mold, and mildew that arises from having small food and liquids on it for long periods of time.
