Calculus is a more advanced level of math and is derived from the Latin word which literally means small pebble. It is often the gateway into more advanced doctoral-level math and is the foundation behind many of the greatest theories known to mankind.

We think the best calculus book is Ron Larson’s masterpiece Calculus. Mr. Larson has a great way of explaining hard-to-understand concepts with simple diagrams and pictures. It is a great resource for both the AP Calculus AB and Calculus BC programs. Although it is quite dense in material, this textbook makes sure that every little detail and concept is completely hammered into you.
There is no room for mistakes and this textbook does a great job in ensuring that you learn all of the theories from a high-level perspective. There are a ton of challenging problems and easier ones to help you ease into harder concepts. We like the fact that this book can be used as an overall resource center or guide for calculus students of all types.

#2.Calculus: An Intuitive and Physical Approach
Calculus, An Intuitive and Physical Approach is the best calculus book if you want an application-oriented approach to learning the subject. This book teaches you all the concepts from derivatives, differentiation, integration, and various theorems with a very easy and intuitive approach.
In other words, it makes learning calculus bearable and fun. This book really helps beat in the concepts and does so on an intellectual level. It is very smart and teaches you through a logical progression of difficulty. Additionally, it is quite dense coming in at 960 pages, so there is plenty of information for those who need details as well.

#3. Calculus: A Complete Introduction
We think Calculus, A Complete Introduction is the best calculus book for those who want to teach themselves the subject. It is not an incredibly dense book, coming in at only 384 pages. However, everything is written to be easy to understand for beginners. There is also a lot of trigonometric integration, which offers a unique way to successfully solve integrals using trig substitution.
Unfortunately, this book is not for advanced students, so just be aware that if you want to learn some very detailed calculus, you should probably look elsewhere. There are quite a lot of sections of math and graphs, with equations and inequalities that are well-constructed and easy to follow.

We all know that Calculus is tough, so we think the Calculus for Dummies textbook is a great way to learn. This is part of the Dummies series, which is pretty much world-renowned. We really like the Calculus for Dummies book because it is hands-on and explains how and why in plain English.
Also, it takes you step by step through all of the major concepts and operations. You get detailed instructions and practical examples of how it works, which really help you solidify certain concepts. We really like the tips and shortcuts provided in this book to help you figure out certain concepts and problems. Also, you get integration techniques and learn how to approximate areas with certain tips.

#5.Calculus: Early Transcendentals
Calculus: Early Transcendentals is a great book if you already know the material. If you are learning calculus, it may not be so great because the material is quite dense and deals with a lot of complex concepts. So please just be aware that if you get this book, just be prepared for it to be challenging. We are not saying that it is an impossible book to learn calculus on.
But, if you do get it, go through it with the mindset that the exercises will be quite difficult. However, we believe that if you can successfully get through this book on your own without seeking help, you can fully understand the more advanced concepts in calculus.
