#2.Televue Telescope Eyepieces

There is no doubt that Televue produces some of the best telescope eyepieces in the industry. However, the catch is you have to be willing to pay a steep cost. Most of Televue’s collection is known for its extremely sharp optics and deep contrast. Other telescope eyepieces simply just can’t compare.

They also have a super open true field of view with great colors. Although the Televue telescope eyepieces are really designed for pros to truly appreciate, we think beginners and hobbyists can also enjoy them. Televue manufactures telescope eyepieces in various focal lengths and styles, so be sure to do your research about the specific eyepiece for your need.

#3.Celestron Eyepiece and Filter Kit

If you are a beginner and can’t be bothered doing the research on the best telescope eyepieces, we suggest you just go with the Celestron Kit. This kit includes 5 Plossl eyepieces and can fit most telescopes with a 1.25 focuser. These eyepieces feature a 52-degree AFOV and are fully multi-coated.

The multi-coated eyepieces are nice in that they improve light transmission and protect the optics. You get 32mm, 17mm, 13mm, 8mm, and 6mm eyepieces in this kit. The 8 and 6mm provide high magnification, the 32mm provides a wide-field view and the 17 and 13mm provide something in between.

#5.Meade Instruments Telescope Eyepieces

For another budget-friendly option, we highly recommend that the Meade Instruments series as some of the best telescope eyepieces in the industry. Meade Instruments offers telescope eyepieces in various sizes and magnifications, so please do some research into the right eyepiece for you.

Perhaps our favorite feature is the blackened lens edges, which help produce superior contrast. They also feature folding eye cups and are made of premium-grade optical glass. Our main complaint with these eyepieces is that they do not provide great eye relief. The eye relief is a bit too long and inconvenient.
