When it comes to the best cactus fertilizer, we have to give it to the Schultz Cactus Plus Fertilizer. This fertilizer works very well in cactus and really helps them grow. Now you may think that cactus do not need fertilizer, but there’s a noticeable difference if you use fertilizer. And it comes in a nice concentrated formula that requires just 7 drops per quart of water.

We really like this formula and think that it stands out in that it does a good job of making your cactus green and lush. And it has a really long storage life too so just keep it around. #3. Grow More 3130 Cactus Juice

Another great option when it comes to the best cactus fertilizer is the Grow More 3130 Cactus Juice. While we admit, it is a bit of a boutique brand, we think that it does wonders for your cactus. In general, the Grow More 3130 works really well and provides calcium and other essential nutrients to your cactus. It is a 1-7-6 fertilizer that is quite safe to use on cacti.

To apply, all you need to do is to mix one teaspoon of this stuff with one gallon of water and drench the base of your plants with it. Also, the price is pretty amazing and for the amount and quality, we think it is definitely one of the better bargains out there.

#4.Espoma Organic Cactus Plant Food

The Espoma Organic Cactus Plant Food is a great little product that makes our top 5 list. We like it because it does not smell awful and it makes your cactus grow a lot more. To be honest, it is quite hard to figure out exactly how each brand is performing compared to another brand. You’d have to completely isolate them in a lab and do a controlled experiment to figure out the winners.

We didn’t do something crazy like this and instead just eyeballed it. From what it seems, Espoma Organic just seems to work for us. It also has a good amount of leeway for error. So in other words, if you end up putting too much of this stuff, you won’t kill your cactus unlike some of the other brands.

#5.Cute Farms Cacti Fertilizer

Last but not least, we have the Cute Farms Cacti Fertilizer, which is a nice boutique brand name that does a great job in fertilizing cactus as well as aloe plants. It comes in a soap dispenser-type container with a pump at the top. All you need to do is to give it one or two pumps once a month in the soil just before you normally water them.

It is very easy to use and you can’t go wrong over fertilizing as each pump is pretty much already measured out. We really like this fertilizer because it gives your cactus color. All in all, we don’t think that cactus should be that hard to manage. Sure, you can do without fertilizer, but with this stuff, your cactus will definitely come alive and be vibrant in your room.
