Best 55 Watt Hid Ballast

#1.Innovited 55w AC HID Slim Digital Ballast

When it comes to the best 55-watt hid ballast, the Innovited 55w AC HID Slim Digital Ballast is definitely a nice option. Innovited is one of the leading brands in this industry. Overall, this 55w HID ballast does a really good job of having more light output and seems to last for quite a long time. It is also a nice and easy install and all the plugs fit tight.

These also come with 3m mounting pads that are incredibly strong. One of our biggest issues is if you do need to replace these or get them re-installed, they are kind of difficult to take off. Other than that, they start up quite fast with no flickering issues. It is easy to mount and has some solid watertight connectors.

#2.Kensun HID 55 Watt Slim Digital Ballasts

Next up, we have the Kensun HID 55 Watt Slim Digital Ballast, which is the best 55-watt HID ballast if you are looking for an alternative to the Innovited we mentioned above. We think that it is safe to say that these really are a direct competitor to the Innovited and they are pretty much neck in neck in our opinion. The quality and overall build are about the same for both.

We have to give a slight advantage to the Innovited when it comes to operating efficiency and light output, but we think the difference is not really that noticeable. We do think that these Kensun ballasts do seem to last longer than the Innovited and will break down less often. This is just the data we gathered from surveying people who have used both.

#3.DZG 55 Watt HID Ballast

Another great option when it comes to the best 55-watt HID ballast is the DZG 55 Watt HID Ballast. The main selling point of this ballast is that it is pretty much bulletproof. So it comes in this crazy tough aluminum case that is resistant to heat and aging. It is also pretty anti-vibration as well as anti-interference and flame-resistant wires.

All of this basically results in the DZG yielding more than 3500 hours of average lifespan. This is significantly longer than most of the other brands out there. And it goes without saying that it has some pretty good short circuit protection as well as balanced voltage and current when an overload does happen.

#4. Xentec 55 Watt HID Ballast

The Xentec 55 Watt HID Ballast is another great 55-watt HID ballast if you are looking for a nice cheap alternative to the brands we mentioned above. Some of the key features include low power consumption along with a decently long life span, as well as being pretty waterproof, dustproof, and heat resistant.

Although it is clearly not built on the same quality level as the DZG mentioned above, it does have this solid aluminum case that is good enough for most situations. Overall, we think that it is resistant enough to vibrations for us to recommend it. Also, it performs as expected for something in this price range and so nothing special here.

#5.XtremeVision 55W HID Ballast

Lastly, we have the XtremeVision 55W HID Ballast, which is actually compatible with both 55W and 35W bulbs. It is also compatible with most after-market HID kits. Perhaps the real standout feature that we can think of is the fact that it has a really quick and easy installation that is pretty much plug-and-play. So no mods are needed.

Furthermore, we really like the slim design which makes it really easy for you to mount this and there is absolutely no bulb flickering unlike some of the other cheaper made 55W HID Ballasts. All in all, these give you a pretty good light output, whiter color, and a decent warm-up time. It is definitely something worth checking out if you haven’t already.
