#1.DW Drum Rug 5×7 Feet
When it comes to the best drum rug, we definitely recommend the DW Drum Rug. DW or Drum Workshop has been in the business for a really long time and makes quality drum accessories. This drum rug is incredibly soft and high quality. Besides being incredibly soft and durable, it is also just a beautiful rug to look at as well as a comfortable rug to even take a nap on.
If your kick and hat pedals have male velcro on them, then they should stick to the rug nicely without moving around too much. The rubber rug bottom also seems pretty rugged and can take a beating. This is the perfect size for a drum kit and rolls up easily. And when you do unroll it, the edges won’t curve up as much as some of the other pads, so just a little small detail.

#2.Meinl Cymbals MDR-BK Drum Rug
Another great option, if you are looking for the best drum rug, is the Meinl Cymbals MDR-BK. This drum rug measures 6.5 feet long and 5.25 feet wide and also includes a carrying bag as an added bonus. What separates this drum rug from the competition is the non-slip bottom in our opinion. It really mounts the rug in place and helps keep the rug there almost like mild glue would.
The tightly woven fabric of this rug is also incredibly durable and lets all of your stands and spurs dig in without any harm done. This rug is also quite stable and keeps on your equipment properly balanced. Furthermore, this drum rug can really take a beating and doesn’t really show signs of wear and tear until much later. The dyes and fabric also stay in place for a while despite lots of foot traffic.

#3. Aucuda Drum Rug
Next, we have the Aucuda Drum Rug, which is the best drum rug for those who want a bigger area. It is the only rug with a bass drum barrier and has a length and width of 6×6.6 ft. Overall, we would say that this rug is pretty good quality, although we prefer the previous two recommendations when it comes to super quality and durability.
We like it because it does a good job of rolling out and staying flat. We know that many other brands have this problem where the corners will tilt up. With this rug, you get a pretty flat layout. Also, your drum set sinks into the rug nicely and is held firmly in place. It won’t wobble around and look unstable, like some of the other brands. Our only complaint is that it is a little thin.

#4.On-Stage DMA4450 DrumFire Non Slip Drum Mat
The On-Stage DrumFire is a great little drum rug for those who want convenience and something that is pretty lightweight. This is a 4 by 4-foot mat that gives you plenty of room for your equipment. We really like this drum mat because it is fairly cost-effective and is made from durable, non-slip PVC material. This material will not fray as easily as some of the other drum mats out there.
We really like how easy it is to roll up this mat and transport it. The entire mat is supported by two velcro straps that secure the rug tightly. You can grip the straps to carry it around as well. Furthermore, you can stick the entire rug into an included nylon carrying bag, which comes with shoulder straps so that you can easily transport it wherever you are going next.

#5.Tama Drum Rug
Lastly, we have the Tama Drum Rug, which is a nice drum rug for those who prefer something big. It comes in at 72 by 80 inches and has a high-quality non-slip rubber bottom. We do realize that you are paying a pretty high premium for this drum rug, but we think that you are definitely getting some serious quality.
Besides being incredibly functional and sticking to the ground very flat, it is a nice rug just to have around the house. The standout feature is that it doubles as a real rug, and is not just used for drum practice. The fabrics are all quite premium and if you just feel this rug you will know that it is high quality. Now is it worth paying a premium for? Well, that is for you to decide how much you are willing to spend.
