#1.Fender Single Tex-Mex Strat Neck Pickup

When it comes to the best strat neck pickup, the Fender Single Tex-Mex Strat Neck Pickup is definitely a nice pick. These are overwound vintage-style Strat pickups that offer increased output. We really like these pickups because they give you nice smooth warm tones as well as sparkling highs while still maintaining that classic vintage style strat.

It is also incredibly versatile and gives you everything from soaring clean tones to that Texas Grit that we have all come to know and love. These also feature staggered pole pieces for balanced output. Furthermore, they are constructed with Alnico 5 magnets which adds more focus and dynamics as well as a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup which hum cancels at 2 and 4 positions.

#2.Seymour Duncan ’59 Strat Neck Pickup

Next up, we have the Seymour Duncan ‘59 Strat Neck Pickup, which is the best Strat neck pickup for those who want a single coil neck pickup with a balanced PAFish response. The standout feature is that it actually has a stronger treble emphasis than a traditional PAF and even has increased articulation. You basically more or less get a humbucker tone that made the PAF the standard.

This neck pickup gives you a warm smooth tone with a very even dynamic response. Additionally, it has adjustable pole pieces which allow you to fine-tune the string balance. All in all, this is great for a wide variety of genres like classic and heavy rock, jazz, blues, and funk. It is also an easy drop-in for any single coil pickup route and has parallel and split wiring options.

#3.DiMarzio DP425 Strat Neck Pickup

Another great option when it comes to the best strat neck pickup is the DiMarzio DP425. This strat neck pickup is a single-coil pickup that is somewhere between a classic humbucker and single-coil performance. We really like it because the highs are extremely warm and the mids and lows are really tight and focused, creating amazing clarity. Also, the voicing is quite wide and strong, like a humbucker.

You also get pick attack and string vibration rather quickly just like any single coil. Overall, the quality is pretty good and the tone is focused with a good balance between body and edge. Our favorite aspect of this strat neck pick is that the mids are really balanced yet prominent and the lows are tight yet not muddy at all.

#4.Musiclily 48MM Stratocaster Neck Pickup

The Musiclily 48mm Stratocaster Neck Pickup is one of the better cheap Strat neck pickups out there and should only be considered if you are on a budget. There are clearly better neck pickups out there and Musiclily knows this. However, they are not competing with the Fender and Seymour Duncans of the world.

Instead, this strat neck pickup is for the budget musician who needs a replacement and is unwilling to shell out top dollar. We think it actually sounds amazingly better than it looks. Overall, we are pleasantly surprised by how it performs and think that you can probably squeeze by with it if you can’t afford a real Strat neck pickup.

#5.Wilkinson Alnico V Strat Neck Pickup

Lastly, we have the Wilkinson Alnico V Strat Neck Pickup, which is another great low-end budget strat neck pickup that is a bit more expensive than the Musiclily mentioned above. This pickup has a 52mm pole spacing and a vintage voice single coil with an Alnico V magnet. Considering how cheap it is, it is actually not bad at all.

Overall, we actually like it more than the Musiclily mentioned above as the Wilkinson just feels more durable and better built overall. But for all intents and purposes, they do sort of feel similar and are both low-end entry-level pickups used to fill in gaps or for those who don’t want a name brand or can’t afford one.
