#1.Quarter Mile Cannons Potato Gun The Bully 2.0
When it comes to the best potato cannon, Quarter Mile Cannons is hands down the best commercial manufacturer. While you can build one yourself, why not just put it in the hands of professionals? Why did we pick this brand over the others? Well, it kind of comes down to the quality of the product and the trust we have in the company.
We would say beyond a doubt that The Bully has the longest range out of any of the other commercial potato guns we have tried on the market. It is also incredibly easy to carry, easy to handle, and easy to store. Also, it lasts a very long time and doesn’t jam often if loaded properly.

#2.Moon Cannon Potato Gun, MK2
If you are looking for the best potato cannon, the Moon Cannon MK2 could be a great alternative to The Bully 2.0. It is certainly a bit cheaper in most places. We like how the Moon Cannon is designed for one-man operation. It also loads very easily with a potato-slicing muzzle.
The upgraded Moon Cannon MK2 has a better-built technology to trigger a spark. It has a new igniter technology with a spray shield. Finally, we just want to add that this potato gun has a pretty insane launch distance, being able to clear over 200 yards if launched properly.

#3.Steve Spangler Science Potato Launcher
The Steve Spangler Science Potato Launcher is another popular choice when it comes to the best potato cannon. This one was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. While it is certainly not the most powerful potato cannon on the market, it is definitely very fun and launches potatoes quite easily.
More importantly, it is very cheap and certainly much more affordable than the military-grade commercial potato guns like the MK2 by Moon Cannon or The Bully 2.0. Finally, we just want to add that this is not a toy, even though it is quite cheap and feels like one. It still comes with safety glasses so that you are well-protected.

#4.Rhode Island Novelty Retro Potato Gun
If you want a smaller version of the potato cannon, the Rhode Island Novelty Company makes a cool little handgun with shoots potato pellets. So just keep in mind that this gun does not fire whole potatoes. What it does is shoot out little potato pellets and you have to dig into a potato to extract the pellet.
You can probably get about 300 pellets in one potato and the pellets are completely harmless. It will sting a little when firing at close range, but it’s nothing serious. Overall, this is a sturdy little toy that is completely harmless. It is really fun for kids and is built to handle jams and drops.

#5.Sunline Plastic Potato Gun
The Sunline Plastic Potato Gun is another classic that cannot be ignored. It shoots self-made potato pellets up to around 50 feet. All you need to do is to stick the potato gun inside of a potato and extract a pellet out. A standard-sized potato can hold around 300 pellets.
Then just point, aim, and shoot and repeat the process. This little gun will be loads of fun for your kids and adults can even learn to enjoy it. Finally, just know that this is a bit of a knockoff from the Rhode Island Novelty Company. They seemed to be sourced from the same manufacturer.
