Best Undercoating Gun

#1.TCP Global Pneumatic Air Undercoating Gun

Considering all of the reviews, polling users, durability, performance, brand name, overall quality, and our personal experience, we consider TCP Global to be the best undercoating gun in the industry. While it is certainly not the best performing one, it is definitely a great cheap performing gun for undercoatings and bed liners. And it handles a wide range of viscosities.

One of the downsides of using this undercoating gun is that it is not so good with fluid film, which ends up coming out in large chunks instead of uniformly. Finally, we just have to say that you can read the other reviews or just trust us. This thing is pretty lightweight, well-balanced, and sturdy.

#2.Kellsport Products Undercoating Gun

If you are looking for a premium undercoating gun that can handle fluid film, this is the best undercoating gun for you. It is really good for certain situations and works faster and can save you money. Sure you can just go with the TCP Global Gun for most occasions, but if you want to work with chain and bar oil, bulk oil, or fluid film, this is the gun to get.

What we like about this undercoating gun is that it gives you a very nice and thin coating, which is just enough to protect and coat, but doesn’t end up dripping all over the place. Although it is quite pricey compared to the other options out there, it can be worth it if it means protecting your frame and body from rusting out.

#3.Astro 4538 Economy Air Undercoat Gun

Next, we have the Astro Economy Air Undercoat Gun, which as the name implies is the best undercoating gun for those on a tight budget and just needs something that doesn’t completely break down. Besides the low entry price, we were actually quite surprised at how well it performed with the most popular brands of undercoating under various viscosities.

And one thing great about it is that it is very lightweight, coming in at around 0.65 pounds, which is barely anything. Unfortunately, the trade-off is that you can’t control the amount or spray pattern coming out. Also, you generally get the job done slower than other spray guns. If you can wait a bit and don’t mind, then this product works just fine.

#4.PMT Undercoating Gun

The PMT Undercoating Gun is a well-balanced product that is ready to use right out of the packaging. It is both accurate and very easy to use for absolute beginners. Perhaps the standout feature is the adjustable nozzle, which is very accurate and easy to use to help control the spray and spray pattern.

The PMT undercoating gun performed a lot better than we expected actually and allows you to easily control the thickness of your coating without doing too much guesswork. And finally, with thick liquids like fluid film, it actually works quite well, although there are certainly better options out there for only thick liquids.

#5.Astro UCG100 Air Under Coating Gun

We think the Astro UCG100 is a great undercoating gun and has great quality and performance for its price point. It is not the cheapest gun out there nor is it the most expensive. We really like how easy this gun is to clean up. It has a replaceable front end that makes it incredibly easy to clean up.

Unfortunately, it does not work that well for thick liquids with slow viscosity. So undercoatings like fluid film do not work here in this situation and you should work somewhere else. Overall, we find it quite similar to the TCP Global Gun, so if you don’t like that one, you should definitely give this one a try.
