#1.Last Chance Archery Bow Press

When it comes to the best bow press, we highly recommend that you try out the Last Chance Archery Bow Press. This is a heck of a bow press and is meant for professional use. It uses a nice and sturdy hand crank, which moves the press arm in and out seamlessly. Also, it comes in a standard height leg that lets you directly mount it to a bench top.

It works for all compound bows and uses this patented finger system that perfectly mimics a compound bow being drawn back without applying any extra pressure to the limbs. The mechanism and overall design is just flawless and it is just a great bow press that can be used consistently for tuning, whether in your home or in the office.

#2.Bowmaster G2 Portable Bow Press

Next up, we have the Bowmaster G2 Portable, which is the best bow press if you want a portable device that is not too expensive and will get the job done. Obviously, this is nowhere near the operational efficiency of the Last Chance Archery Bow Press mentioned above, but for now, it will do. It allows you to completely tear down your bow with high preloaded limbs.

With this bow press, you can easily install peep sights, replace wheels, and limbs, replace the string or cables, and adjust the draw length. And of course, best of all you can do it all in your pocket. That’s right, this thing is so small and convenient that it can be packed up and fits into your pocket, allowing you to fix things on the go. It’s not as efficient as the expensive bow presses, but it works.

#3.Apple Edge Bow Press

Another great option when it comes to the best bow press is the Apple Edge Bow Press. This is a pro-grade bow press that rivals the Last Chance Archery one mentioned above. We mostly like it because it is incredibly heavy-duty and in our opinion actually handles more force and is a bit more efficient than the Last Chance Archery bow press.

Unfortunately, many people hate it because there’s a steep learning curve and it comes with absolutely no instructions for such an expensive thing. But please, we urge you to go into this with some patience and take your time to practice it. Over time, you will get better and learn to appreciate it, hopefully, more than other negative Nancy.

#4.Ram Products Ratchet-Loc Portable Bow Press

The Ram Products Ratchet-Loc Portable Bow Press is a great little device that is a nice portable now press that is lightweight and easy to use. We like it because it will absolutely work with a large variety of bows and because it is portable, which makes it just so convenient to carry around with you in the field to fix problems on the spot.

It is made of CNC aluminum and is brilliantly designed to be very simple to use. It makes on-the-spot fixes in the field seamless without the need for a full-on bow press. We actually like the efficiency of this bow press more than the Bowmaster G2 mentioned above. However, we think that the Bowmaster G2 wins on durability and longevity.

#5.IVEKE Portable Hand Held Bow Press

Finally, we recommend the Iveke Portable Hand-Held Bow Press, which is certainly a winner if you need a cheap bow press for compound bows. It also features two quad brackets and an all-metal construction which is pretty durable and stable. It pretty much works as advertised and is great value for your money.

In fact, we just don’t think it gets any cheaper than this brand without completely dipping into junk territory. The Iveke works all right, but we do find it tricky to use and a bit unsafe at times. If you are willing to be careful with it and don’t want to pay up for a better portable bow press like the ones we mentioned above, the Iveke will definitely work for you.
