Best 80cc Bicycle Engine Kit

#1. Ktaxon 80CC Bicycle Engine Kit

If you are looking for the best 80cc bicycle engine kit, we think that the Ktaxon 80CC is a great choice. This engine is an 80cc 2-stroke engine that lets you get up to around 40 mph, making it street-legal. In many states, you won’t need a driver’s license for this to operate. It is fairly easy to install as long as you have some common sense, and it should last for quite a while. You will still have to pedal occasionally, however, as there may not be enough power to go up steep hills.

Best 80cc Bicycle Engine Kit

#1. Ktaxon 80CC Bicycle Engine Kit

When it comes to the best 80cc bicycle engine kit, we have to give it to the Ktaxon 80CC. This is a 2-stroke 80 cc engine that will make you reach up to 40 mph. It is meant for 26 to 28 inches wheels with a V frame. Overall, we would say that this kit is really easy to put together and takes about 3 hours of your time with some basic hardware tools.

Our one biggest complaint is that the instructions are really not so good and almost feel translated. However, if you have some common sense and can figure things out easily on your own, it’ll be alright. Just keep your expectations low on all of these bike engines. They don’t give you that much power and you still may need to pedal a bit when trying to go up steep hills.

#2. Imaycc Bicycle 80cc Engine Kit

Next up, we have the Imaycc 80cc, which is the best 80cc bicycle engine kit for those who want to upgrade their regular bike to a motorized moped bike. We find this engine kit to be quite similar to the Roadstar 80cc kit mentioned above. It seems to have a bit less power though for some reason but that difference isn’t noticeable.

We think the standout feature is that it has really low noise and a slight vibration, which we cannot say the same about other brands, not even the Roadstar. And believe it or not, the vibration actually matters a lot when you are riding long distances as it can get really annoying very fast on other brands.

#3.Zeda 80 2 Stroke 80cc Bicycle Kit

Another great option when it comes to the best 80cc bicycle engine kit is the Zeda 80. This is another 2-stroke 80cc engine that pushes the most amount of HP out of all the kits we’ve tried. It is also clearly more expensive than most of the kits out there, so there’s a trade-off to everything. With this motor, you can easily get up to 40 mph without even trying or pedaling on your own.

It can even tackle some decent inclines without the need to start using the pedals. Sure, it looks about the same as other engine kits, but it doesn’t perform the same. Also, durability is pretty top notch and it seems just as durable as the other engine kits we reviewed. Installation is also quite easy and pretty straightforward.

#4. Seeutek 80cc Bicycle Engine Kit

The Seeutek PK80 is a great single-cylinder 2-stroke air-cooled engine kit that can easily be mounted to most bikes to give it a significant speed boost. It gets pretty crazy fuel economy at around 100-150 miles per gallon, which is even better than most motorcycles. The engine pushes around 5 to 6 horses and can top out at around 40 mph.

One of our favorite features is that it even comes with a speedometer, which actually comes in handy many times you feel you are going too fast and just want to check your speed. Overall, this is a solid all-around 80cc engine kit that is a pretty good performer as well as durable enough to last a few solid years of use.

#5. Pexmor 80cc Bicycle Kit- 2 Stroke

Lastly, we have the Pexmor 80cc Bicycle Kit, which makes our top 5 list because it is just another solidly built kit to try out. This 80cc engine kit is a pretty standard affair and like the other kits. There doesn’t really seem to be a huge difference between this kit and some of the other kits we recommended above. The engine works great and drives a fair amount of power to the wheels.

You will still have to pedal a bit on steep inclines and for the most part, it is pretty smooth riding without anything breaking. Reliability is top-notch as we haven’t heard too many complaints yet. So we think it is pretty much as durable as the other above although we didn’t run any long terms tests on this or heard of any problems from long-term owners.
