#1.SRAM PG1070 10-Speed Cassette
In our opinion, the SRAM PG1070 is the best 10-speed cassette due to its extreme shifting efficiency as it has a great tooth profile and shift ramp design as well as a cogset that maxes the stiffness-to-weight ratio. It is also quite durable in extreme conditions and is very good value for your money.

#1.SRAM PG1070 10-Speed Cassette
For those who want the best 10-speed cassette, the SRAM PG1070 is definitely a great option. This is a premium cassette that is optimized for the offroad as it is extremely durable and reliable. Perhaps the best feature and the one that makes it stand out amongst the competition is the fact that delivers quick and positive index shifting due to its optimized tooth profile and shift ramp design.
Basically, this cassette does an excellent job of shifting efficiently and effectively in all extreme situations and never really misses a gear switch. Finally, we really like the new cogset, which features a semi-spidered construction. This helps to maximize the stiffness-to-weight ratio. It is also available in 7 different configs.

#2.SHIMANO CS-7900 Dura Ace
The Shimano CS-7900 Dura-Ace is the best 10-speed cassette for those who want an ultra-premium product that they don’t mind paying up for. This is simply one of the best-performing cassettes that you can get. Why is this cassette so expensive? In short, it is fast, lightweight, durable, and really helps improve your riding and shifting and takes it to the next level.
So basically, for steep hills, this is a must-have and it only weighs in at 163 grams. The sprockets are made of titanium and it basically increases durability by up to 30%. If you don’t believe us, just visit any bike shop and mention the Dura Ace. We are certain that people will have great things to say about it other than the steep price tag.

#3.Ztto CSMXXL 10 Speed Cassette
While definitely not a brand for any pros, there is certainly a great market for the Ztto CSMXXL. If you are interested in the best 10-speed cassette while being on a strict budget, this is it. We just want to be upfront – there is absolutely spectacular about the Ztto other than the price. It is a bit of a replica of other more popular brands, but it just doesn’t get it quite right.
We are definitely a fan of the incredibly low entry price and the performance, while being very average, is still very acceptable to most people. Pros will definitely feel the difference, but most people won’t. So we say if you just want to save money and get something that won’t absolutely break down within a day, the Ztto is definitely a reliable cassette that will get the job done.

#4.JGbike Sunrace 11-46T 10 Speed Cassette
One of the biggest reasons why we put JGbike Sunrace on the list is because we just really like the design and look of this cassette and sprocket. It has this awesome red and black color scheme that looks absolutely stunning on any bike frame. And it is also a pretty good performer.
Also, we really like the gear ratios of the JGbike, which allow for a smoother ride and smoother shifting. On some occasions, we actually preferred this cassette over something like a Shimano. However, one of the negatives is that we just don’t think the cassette is as durable as the others. Don’t get us wrong, it won’t fall apart, but it’s just not 5-star durable.

#5.SHIMANO Ultegra Bicycle Cassette (10-Speed)
We think the Shimano Ultegra is the best 10-speed cassette due to its extremely high durability-to-weight ratio. Of course, it is sort of our internal metric, but we think it definitely works in this situation. So basically what we mean here is that this cassette is rather lightweight for a 10-speed while being very durable, which is quite rare for more lightweight cassettes unless you want to pay up.
While this is not a cassette for climbing steep hills, we really love it for flats and long-distance cycling situations. You can certainly use it for steep climbs, but there are better cassettes for that out there. And finally, Shimano has really improved their shifting ramps on this cassette version, so you will get even faster and smoother shifting than before.
