#1.Fox 40 Classic CMG Finger Grip Whistle
The Fox 40 Classic Finger Grip Whistle is the best referee whistle for those looking for the gold standard. Every other whistle on the market is basically a copy of this one. It has a nice and comfortable finger grip, it doesn‘t get dirty, the plastic is very durable, it has a superior grip in your mouth, and it sounds really really loud. We really like the way the mouthpiece is designed as it is very comfortable and doesn’t fall apart easily.

#1.Fox 40 Classic CMG Finger Grip Whistle
There is no doubt that the Fox 40 Classic CMG is an industry-standard. Fox 40 has been making whistles for sporting events for years and they are very good at what they do. This 115-decibel whistle simply cannot be overblown and it gets louder the harder you blow. We also like the thermoplastic CMG, which provides superior grip and protection for your teeth.
It is made with very durable high-impact ABS plastic, which means it does not collect moisture or stink. Also, there are no moving parts and no gadgets to tinker with. This is the gold standard of coach and referee whistles and can be used for other things like lifeguarding and being outdoors for survival.

#2.The Original HyperWhistle
If you are going for max volume, the Original Hyper Whistle is the best coach whistle for you. This particular whistle has up to 142dB for a range of over 2 miles. This whistle is clearly louder than all of the whistles we have tried and the range is incredible. It is even good for surprising people, as it is just simply freaking loud.
This whistle is so ridiculously loud that the pack even comes with ear protection! We also like how it works in all conditions and even underwater. The negatives are that it is kind of awkward to hold and the mouthpiece is kind of hard to get a proper seal for a full blast. It takes some practice to get used to it.

#3.Gladiour Referee/Coach Whistle
Although the Gladiour Referee Whistle is kind of a knockoff of the Original Fox 40 whistle, it still is very good and we consider it one of the best referee whistles out there. First and foremost, there is no ball out there so the unit is entirely waterproof. It also includes a nice lanyard with a double-loop key ring.
What we really like about this coach whistle is that it is loud but you can still very much control the volume. Most other sports whistles we tried are kind of binary, being there are really only two volume levels. Although it is designed for referees and coaches, it can certainly be used for lifeguards, rangers, hunters, and in law enforcement.

#4. Acme Thunderer Official Referee Whistle
The Acme Thunderer screams a classic vintage whistle. If you just want a classic steel whistle with a classic look, this is the best referee whistle for you. We like how it has a non-stick pea that allows it to work in almost any weather conditions, including being submerged underwater.
It is both small, lightweight, and loud. Also, the metal does not corrode or rust easily and can be washed easily. This is an advantage over plastic whistles, which feel a bit cheap and flimsy. Finally, just note that many officials in sporting events actually use this whistle in real-time. It produces a loud sound enough for the entire stadium to hear.

#5.Crown Sporting Goods Referee & Coach Whistle
Finally, we have the Crown Sporting Goods Stainless Steel Sports Whistle. We like this whistle because it is simply loud and very clear. The direction of the sound is uniformly distributed without veering off in any direction. Additionally, it requires less effort to produce the same level of volume as other whistles.
It comes with an easily adjustable lanyard to place around your neck. We like how you just adjust the gold bead to control the length of the lanyard. Finally, just note that there is a pea in this whistle, which is why it requires less effort to blow than other whistles.
