#1.Equiderma Horse Skin Lotion for Rain Rot
For those who are interested in the best treatment for rain rot, the Equiderma Horse Skin Lotion is certainly a classic. This skin lotion is specifically designed for horses and is easy to apply. We really like it because it is generally quite mild on horse skin and many horses don’t seem to mind at all. In fact, horses tend to get quite excited when you start applying this.
Equiderma also just seems to be a lot less messy when applied as compared to some other brands that we have used. And it doesn’t result in any peeling or flaking, which can be annoying with other brands. We wouldn’t go as far as to call it a miracle product, but we do think that it certainly works very well in treating rain rot as well as a bunch of other conditions.

#2. Vetericyn FoamCare Medicated Horse Shampoo Rain Rot Treatment
Next up, we have the Vetericyn FoamCare Medicated Horse Shampoo, which is the best treatment for rain rot for those who want something nice and easy to administer. The Vetericyn FoamCare Shot comes in this spray bottle and is easy to just spray in on infected areas without getting all down and dirty. It stops the irritation pretty quickly from what we’ve seen.
Additionally, we like it because it has a nice pleasant scent that both you and your horse will enjoy. It also has anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Finally, we just want to mention that it comes ready to use right out of the bottle and certainly works well when compared to other brands.

#3.Banixx Treatment For Rain Rot
Another great option when it comes to the best treatment for rain rot is the Banixx Horse and Pet Care Spray. This is a general-purpose spray that is great for fungal and bacterial infections. We really like it because it has no sting, so your horses won’t be alarmed and get all crazy if you administer it. Also, it is odorless, which certainly helps calm down your horses when spraying it.
It is extremely nontoxic and we wouldn’t even worry if you got it in your horse’s eyes and nose too much. It won’t kill them and at most, they sneeze it out. Also, we just like how it is multi-purpose and great to just have around the house for all sorts of animals and pets. So it is not just limited to horses.

#4.Krudzapper Ointment Treatment For Rain Rot
The Krudzapper Ointment Treatment is one of those mom-and-pop branded products that actually works surprisingly well on horses for rain rot. While the packaging on the outside may not look the most attractive, we are glad that we found this product actually and highly recommend that you take a gamble on it as well.
This is a topical ointment that you need to apply to your horse in the areas of infection. It does get a little messy and especially when first using it on a new horse. However, we find that it works better than most of those spray-on treatments and takes a much shorter time to activate and alleviate irritation and rain rot symptoms.

#5.Eqyss Micro-Tek Treatment For Rain Rot
Lastly, there’s the Eqyss Micro-Tek Treatment For Rain Rot, which they consider a fast-acting max strength spray that is safe and effective on all horses. We like it because it really does a good job of not producing that burning or irritation sensation, which as we all know, can be pretty tough on horses for the first time.
As far as a spray is considered, we find it quite fast acting and it seems to treat rain rot better and more effectively than most other sprays out there. Also, it doesn’t leave a mess everywhere and there’s really no cleanup at all. The only thing is that we find it a little pricey and you tend to run out quickly.
