#1.Berkley Gulp! Chum, Soft Bait
When it comes to the best catfish chum, we have to hand it over to the Berkley Gulp. In our opinion, it is much better than artificial bait as it has over 400 different dispersion scents over a wider area. In some instances, we found that the Berkley Gulp outfishes even live bait in terms of attracting and having catfish and fish of all types bite.
Additionally, we also like the extreme value you get with this bucket. It will last you quite a while and you don’t have to visit the expensive bait shops anymore when you want to go fishing. And lastly, we like that you can use it in any condition and in any temperature whether it is in freshwater or saltwater. It truly is a one size fits all versatile bait.

#2.Magic 24-12 Dinner Bell Chum
Next, we have the Magic 24-12 Dinner Bell Chum, which is the best catfish chum if you want something that attracts catfish quite well and something that will last in any type of environment. While it can certainly be used for all types of fish, we find that it is best used with catfish as they tend to bite more with this type of chum.
Perhaps its standout feature is the fact that it does a really good job of remaining intact underwater, and it performs equally as well whether you are in cold or hot water. Furthermore, we like it because it does a great job of resisting little fish from pecking away at it and eventually making it all crumble and dissolve.

#3.Aquatic Nutrition Fish Chum
Another great product that ranks highly on our list of the best catfish chum is the Aquatic Nutrition Fish Chum. Although it is designed for saltwater, we found that it also works amazingly well with catfish. This stuff is pretty heavy and stinks quite slowly, spreading its scent around a wide range underwater. This 1-pound kit is pretty mess-free and fairly long-lasting.
We also likely it because it contains real fish and shrimp, which surprisingly the catfish love and tend to bite aggressively over. But we think the selling point is that it is mess-free. And by that we mean it is very easy to apply and you have to try to end up making a mess all over the place. And it doesn’t smell as bad as the other catfish chum.

#4.BaitCloud Catfish Fish Attractant
We think that the BaitCloud Catfish Chum is a great product that will get you tons of bites of catfish without having to work at all for it. Ok, technically it is not really catfish chum, but it performs like one. We really like it and think that it has a leg up on the competition in that it is made of all-natural ingredients making it marine and waste water biodegradable.
Also, it does not contain fish parts live or prepared bait. And lastly, it not only appeals to the scent but also looks. It has bio glitter embedded that mimics fish scales, which the catfish tend to like. Furthermore, this stuff lasts forever underwater and breaks down or dissolves at a much slower pace, which means you will attract more fish in a longer period of time.

#5. Pro-Cure Bloody Tuna Instant Chum
While we admit that the Pro-Cure Blood Tuna Instant Chum is more for saltwater big fish like tuna, we found that it works surprisingly well with catfish as well as real results in a feeding frenzy. All you need to do is to give it a healthy squirt in the water and fish of all kinds will go in and feed. It is designed to attract baitfish and skittish fish.
In our opinion, you should keep this as a last resort type of deal. If the catfish are not biting, dump some of the instant chum in the water, which will signal to all fish in the area that there is food nearby. Also, mixing it in with real catfish chum is the best possible outcome, but you can effectively use it stand-alone as well.
